Who we are.
Quotient Biodiagnostics, a new diagnostics company, is focused on providing high quality, high value immunohematology products to hospitals and blood banks in the US. Through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Alba Bioscience, Quotient offers more than 30 years of research, development and manufacturing of transfusion diagnostics products that traditionally have been sold worldwide either directly or by other major transfusion companies.
How it all began.
Quotient's research subsidiary, Alba, was originally established in Scotland in the 1940s to manufacture blood typing reagents. The company continued to grow and expand its offerings through mergers of specialized diagnostics manufacturing units in Scotland. Then, in 2007, Alba was acquired by Quotient Bioscience, a larger company focused on R&D, maufacturing and commercialization in three business areas: biotech research, sports science and diagnostics. The company now employs over 650 people with more than $50 million in annual revenues and products in 30 countries.
Moving forward.
Today, Quotient Biodiagnostics has one of the most advanced FDA-licensed manufacturing plants in the industry, and continues its tradition of quality and technical excellence, as evidenced by a range of accreditation, including ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 Quality Certification. With state-of the art logistics and U.S. warehousing, customers consistently receive shipments as ordered and on time.
